Al Carns MP

A meesage from Al for the New Year:
2024 has been quite a year. First and foremost, I want to say once again, thank you to the people of Selly Oak for putting your trust and confidence in me at the July general election.
It is an honour to represent you as your Member of Parliament, to care and campaign for you and to protect and preserve our wonderful constituency.
My mail bag over these last six months has reflected a wide range of issues that local residents are facing. To help address these head-on, my team and I have hosted advice surgeries across every ward in the Selly Oak constituency. We have also handled thousands of casework enquiries for individuals, families, charities, and businesses. It has been a pleasure getting to know the faces and places in Selly Oak.
I was immensely proud to be appointed the Minister for Veterans and People in the Ministry of Defence in July and it has been a privilege to work with the Secretary of State for Defence John Healey over the last six months. I am also fully committed to helping Keir Starmer and The Labour Party deliver change and rebuild our country in the months and years ahead.
As a New Year dawns once again, I am ever mindful of the devastating conflict in Europe and the Middle East. My thoughts are with all of those who are suffering, in the hope that 2025 will bring peace.
On behalf of everyone here in my constituency team, may I wish you a very Happy New Year.
