Al Carns MP
Al visited the 1st Bournville Scout Group to meet with Explorer Scout Oliver, who is also a Young Leader with the Cubs section.
For the last part of his King’s Scout Award, Oliver decided to work with the Cubs to gain his Community Impact Badge, choosing to focus on Mental Health Awareness.
The final part of the badge requires a visit to the group by a local leader, and Al was thrilled to be invited by Oliver to go along and hear about what he had been learning with regards to Mental Health and to talk to him and young Cub Scout Oscar about my views and plans around mental health.
Congratulations to Oliver for working so hard on his King’s Scout Award, and a big thank you to all the scout leaders, volunteers, parents, carers, and guardians for all they do to give young people like Oliver and Oscar these fantastic opportunities.
