Earlier this month, I was invited to go along to the final day of an intensive Work Skills course run by Birmingham Adult Education Service, and present the learners with their certificates of achievement.
The free three-week course provided local residents with the opportunity to be upskilled and job-ready, and was aimed at adults who were looking to re-enter employment.
It was developed by the brilliant team at Birmingham Adult Education Service to support local people who have fallen out of employment and/ or may be missing some of the entry level skills to successfully gain employment.
Thanks to Bournville Village Trust for inviting me along to see some of this fantastic work that goes on in our community.
